Located in Dellroy, Ohio, Atwood Lake is one of the state's and region's top lakes for sailing and pleasure boating. Only 35 miles from the Pennsylvania border and less than 30 miles from Akron, Canton and Cleveland, Atwood Lake showcases the scenic, quiet countryside of northeastern Ohio.

The lake covers over 1,540 acres and is framed by a tree-lined 28-mile shoreline with two marinas offering boat sales, service, rentals and docking. A year-round restaurant is available at Atwood Lake Marina West.

Fishing

Fishing is permitted at the Atwood Lake Day Use Area and below the dam.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife monitors the water quality as well as the fish population. The ODNRDW builds fish shelters and stocks the lake with largemouth bass, bluegill, northern pike, crappie, bullheads, channel catfish, yellow perch and saugeye.

The 25 horsepower limit for boats permitted on Atwood Lake serves to attract sailboats, pontoons, fishing boats, canoes and kayaks.

Rental boats are offered at Atwood Lake. A public launch ramp located near the Atwood Lake Dam can be used year-round for those enthusiasts who like to boat and fish in colder water.
