Alum Creek Lake
Located in Delaware County, Ohio, north of Columbus, Alum Creek Lake is where you'll find Ohio's largest inland beach. The 3,387-acre reservoir with its 70 mile shoreline affords a variety of outdoor recreation all year round. Bicycling, hiking, boating, camping, fishing and swimming are among the most popular summer activities. In the winter, Alum Creek is frequented by winter sports enthusiasts. Ice fishing, ice boating and ice skating are available on the lake while sledding, snowmobiling and cross country skiing are available on the multi-purpose trail. Fishing White bass, rock bass, small-and large-mouth bass, bluegill, white and black crappie, green sunfish, long-eared sunfish, pumpkin-seed sunfish, channel catfish, saugeye, muskellunge,and walleye thrive in Alum Creek Lake. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife regularly stocks saugeye and muskies. Fishing tournaments are held at Alum Creek Lake throughout the year. |

Boating Alum Creek Lake offers unlimited horsepower and various boating activities such as fishing, sailing, water skiing, jet skiing, and pleasure boating. Boat/swim/camp areas are plentiful while there are five boat launch ramps available around the lake. The Alum Creek Sailing Association offers “learn to sail” programs including special sailing programs for youth. |
Lodging Three full-service campsites in both wooded and sunny areas of Alum Creek Lake State Park, with electric, sewer and water hookups are available, as is a dog park.
