This 2,300-acre reservoir and state park is located entirely in Lawrence County, close to Louisa. Although anglers love this lake, the surrounding park offers a variety of activities for the entire family. The park, which opened in 1999, contains an 18-hole golf course, over 20 miles of hiking trails, 47 camp sites, biking, and horseback riding.

Fishing

Yatesville Lake is stocked with a variety of fish, including bass, crappie, bluegill, and catfish. Enjoy the full-service marina, which offers bait, tackle, boat rentals, and snacks. The lake's length is 20 miles upstream from the dam, and 18 miles upstream where it flows into the Big Sandy River. Elevations vary only slightly between winter pool (624) and summer pool (630).
