Grayson Lake The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers created Grayson Lake in 1968 by impounding the Little Sandy River. The lake is a major attraction for Grayson Lake State Park, a Kentucky state park in Carter County, Kentucky, near Grayson. The park has an area of 1,512 acres, and the lake consumes 1,500 acres of that park. Park activities include boating, water skiing, swimming, fishing and golfing -- the park's rolling terrain offers challenging play on a 18-hole golf course that circles the lake. Fishing |
