Fishtrap Lake Fishtrap Lake is a 1,131-acre reservoir in Pike County, Kentucky, that was dedicated by President Lyndon B. Johnson in 1968. The United States Army Corps of Engineers created the lake in 1962 by impounding the Levisa Fork of the Big Sandy River at Fishtrap Dam to help control flooding along the Ohio and Big Sandy Rivers.
