Beaver Lake
Built about 1962-63, Beaver Lake opened to the public in mid 1964, and supports a healthy population of trophy class largemouth bass -- up to 11 pounds! The lake made a reputation for itself in the early 80's as having one of the best ratios of fish caught per hours fishing time of any lake in the Commonwealth.

Boating The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife owns this lake, and provides accessibility to boats, motors, bait, and refreshments. They charge a free for boat launching from the dock, and they also rent boats. The lake is a no-wake 10 HP limit.

Lodging
There is a minimal fee for primitive camping facilities, with or without electricity. These camping sites include porta-potties, water, ability to have a camp fire, access to a fishing pier, access to covered picnic area and grill. No shower or bathing facilities are provided. Lawrenceburg has local hotels. There is no lodging on the lake. Check the Lake Resource Guide for more lodging information. Communities The closest major city is Lawerenceburg.
