Dierks Lake

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers constructed this impoundment along the Saline River, creating Dierks Lake for flood control purposes. Although fairly isolated, the lake sees plenty of water recreation enthusiasts, especially for boating and fishing. Dierks Lake is known for its great bass and crappie fishing as well as for swimming and skiing. This lake is one of what are known as South Arkansas's tri-lakes with Gillham and DeQueen (also known as De Queen) Lakes.

Fishing

Angling at Dierks Lake can be a peaceful experience, as this lake is surrounded by hardwoods and pine forests. The thrill comes in capturing one of the popular species that populate this lake, including smallmouth and largemouth bass, spotted bass, a variety of catfish, crappie, and sunfish.
