Inland Lake

Inland Lake is one of the clearest and deepest reservoirs in Alabama, with water clarity of over ten feet in mean depths of 77 feet. Located about nine miles from Oneonta, Birmingham Water Works and Sewer Board of Birmingham operate this lake for water supply. This company also owns the 32.25 miles of shoreline property around the lake. The lake impounds the Blackburn Fork of the Little Warrior River. Recreational boaters also use the lake for skiing and fishing.

Fishing

Anglers are urged to harvest small spotted bass to allow for other bass species' growth. Largemouth bass numbers are low, but the percentages are over 15 inches in samples, showing values over most other Alabama reservoirs. Stocking of striped bass has ceased temporarily to determine if the stock is affecting the bluegill and black bass populations.
